BJM was appointed by Poole High School to extend and remodel its main reception, creating a brighter and more welcoming front of house for pupils, staff and visitors.
The works involved extending the building line with new footings and cavity walls in facing brick to match the existing school, with aluminium curtain walling, a new entrance door and top-hung windows. Internally we formed a new glazed inner lobby, reception screen and work tops, with new flooring, suspended ceilings, LED lighting, power and data, and reconfigured heating, air conditioning, drainage and fire detection to suit the new layout. Externally, the landscaping was reworked with a new lawn area and a DDA-compliant level entrance path.
